PATINATION

Patination is a controlled finishing process that chemically alters the surface of metal to create rich tonal variation and aged character. At Osprey, we have develop bespoke patinated finishes for brass, bronze and copper, carefully managing colour, depth and texture to achieve everything from subtle antiqued hues to bold verdigris effects. Each finish is created through testing and sampling to ensure the final appearance aligns perfectly with design intent then sealed with a wax or our specialist lacquering process.
